About the Author

Deano Gomes-Luis is a management consultant with over thirty years of experience across senior business leadership and advisory roles, including more than fifteen years advising organisations on strategy, operational performance, and enterprise transformation.

Based in New Zealand, he works with business leaders at the point where growth begins generating problems that effort and capability alone cannot resolve. The pattern he kept encountering, capable leaders working hard inside organisations their perception had not yet caught up with, is the observation at the heart of this book.

He holds an MBA and has a background in psychology, which informs his understanding of how leaders develop, and why that development so often looks like decline before it looks like progress.
